Midtown Atlanta Airbnb

 Best Midtown Atlanta Airbnb

If you're looking for a hotel or short-term rental in Atlanta, you can stop looking our place is perfect. We're located in the heart of Midtown, near 14th and Peachtree. Our unit is in the best location because its right between Downtown and Buckhead, but a little closer to Buckhead, meaning the area is nicer. Our building is one of just a few original small residential units in the area- to every side of us there are luxury condos, including brand new ones set to be complete pretty soon. Staying with us is like getting a little piece of Georgia vintage, tucked away on a lovely street in Midtown.

The park, Piedmont Park, is the outdoor highlight of this strategic positioning. And for all the culture lovers, well, we're in there like swimwear-- the entire Woodruff Arts Center is a walk away -- High Museum, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra,  Alliance Theater, and more.

Transportation is simple, since we have 2 trains nearby - Midtown and Arts Center. Also, there's a bike shop around the corner so you can rent a bike if you'd like.

Our 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom can sleep 4 people. There are 3 beds: 1 queen size bed, 1 fold down sofa bed, and 1 air mattress.

Early Arrival Atlanta Itinerary: Midtown

Sometimes guests arrive really really early and need a place to kill time and do work. This happened to one of our guests recently and we created this itinerary. They were arriving at 6:30AM, so adjust the times according to your arrival. (This is mainly for those with cars, but can be done with those taking public transportation via MARTA bus or uber/lyft)

- E A R L Y   A R R I V A L   I T I N E R A R Y -

I think I have an itinerary that could be a very fun, productive, and exploratory way to kill some time. We're located in true Midtown / main midtown, but since you have a car I think it'd be nice to start the day in West Midtown....

1. (optional BREAKFAST): 7:30AM - 8:30AM West Egg Cafe: 1100 Howell Mill Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318 It's a popular breakfast spot, opens at 7AM and close to the coffee shops recommended below. (Park in the parking deck, then follow the signs to get to the cafe. There is some street parking too I think).

 2. COFFEE SHOP #1: 8:30AM - 12:30PM I would recommend Chattahoochee Coffee Company (opens at 7AM) to do work out of. They have a very comfortable setup (lots of options for seating - table, sofa, bar stools), really nice decor, free wifi, outlets, beautiful restroom (lol), and decent prices. It's sort of hidden since it's under apartments - Walton Properties leasing building. You can parallel park on the side or in the deck. The address: 790 Huff Rd NW Atlanta, GA 30318

 3. WALK AROUND + COFFEE SHOP #2: 12:30PM - 4PM After working from there for awhile there's this sort of hidden coffee shop, right down the street 3 minute drive, at the Goat Farm, called The Warhorse Coffee Joint. The Goat Farm is like a cool, hippy, hipsterish type place where people just walk around, take pics, have events, whatever... super chill vibes all around. It's a free ( cash donations accepted) coffee shop that's a neat eclectic environment. So you could walk around a bit, stretch your legs, then hang out here and do work. The address: 1200 Foster St NW Atlanta, GA 30318

Where to Buy Souvenirs in Atlanta: Shop Local Midtown Atlanta

One of our awesome guest from Finland wanted to know where he could purchase some gifts to bring home for friends and family. So we created this list and decided to post and share with our other Midtown Atlanta Airbnb visitors:
Here are a few recommendations for places to get Atlanta souvenirs:

1. Citizen Supply (located in Ponce City Market) - they have clothing, shoes, and knick knacks and more from local Georgia artist. It's a nice store. You'll also love walking around Ponce City Market - it's a very nice new shopping plaza. The store is located on the very top floor at the end.
// Address: 675 Ponce De Leon Ave, Suite NW 208, Atlanta, GA 30308 //
(about a 40 minute walk / 12 minute drive).

2. The High Museum of Art Gift Shop - you don’t have to buy a ticket to get access to the gift shops which has a lot of beautiful things based on the art and a few Atlanta specific things as well.
// Address: 1280 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309 //
(about a 8 minute walk / 3 minute drive).

3. The Airport - they actually have alot of good shops with Atlanta stuff just in case you run out of time. Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. 4. Lenox Mall / Phipps Plaza - Lenox Mall is our main mall in Atlanta full of all the main retail brands and stores for adults and kids. Phipps Plaza is another mall across from it that has luxury stores.
// Address: 3393 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30326 //
(18 minute drive, 12 minute train ride).

5. Atlantic Station - this is our nearest mall, very close by... it's about an 20 minute walk, 7 minute drive, there's a shuttle at Arts Center Station that takes you right to it. They have many stores you can buy things from plus a Target and Ikea :-).
// Address: 1380 Atlantic Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30363 //
(20 minute walk, 7 minute drive)

BONUS:

Sprouts Farmers Market - if you're looking for edible items like Georgia made honey, preserves, chocolate, or just general locally sourced Georgia produced foods visit our nearby Sprouts store. If you go to the very back section of the store, near the yogurt and kefir milk there's a section of Atlanta, Georgia goods. There is also Georgia made items spread throughout the store.

(35 minute walk, 7 minute drive)

EXTRA CREDIT:

Georgia Tech Barnes & Noble Book Store - located in Tech Square, a 15 minute walk away, trolley ride, or 5 minute drive. You can get lots of Georgia Tech gear here and some awesome Atlanta things too! // 48 5th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30308 //

Underground Atlanta - If you're in the mood to old school it, or "thug" it Underground Atlanta used to be the classic place to get all the best Atlanta gear from hats to keychains to custom necklaces and airbrushed t-shirts. I haven't trekked down there since I was a kid in the 90s... I take that back I went once in the mid 00s to get a custom necklace, lol, but that was 10 years ago... so I'm not sure how things are currently. However if you're in the mood to explore, give it a go... have fun :-).  // 50 Upper Alabama St #007, Atlanta, GA 30303 //

CNN Center/World of Coke/Aquarium - I'm sure there are a few spots to get souvenirs in our most touristy area. The CNN Center should have some goods. //190 Marietta St, Atlanta, GA 30303 //

GAS Stations - if you're on a road trip then stop in at some of the gas stations along the way. You'd be surprised at the awesome state gear some gas stations have.
